Marco Foltran is a multidisciplinary artist, experience designer, and creative pioneer whose work redefines how audiences interact with art and reality. His practice blends sensory design, performance, technology, and philosophy to explore perception, identity, and the subtle space between illusion and truth.
In 2004, Marco created the first immersive projection-mapped dining experience, long before the format became globally recognized. This groundbreaking work — now known as the Metaillusion Performing Art Dinner — introduced projection mapping directly onto the dining table, transforming food, space, and interaction into a living performance. No artist or studio had executed projection mapping in this context before him, marking the project as a formative milestone in experiential and interactive art.
Through Metaillusion and his broader artistic research, Marco dissolves the boundary between audience and artwork, inviting participants to become part of the experience rather than observers of it. His installations and performances create heightened states of awareness, where senses, memory, and imagination converge into a single shared moment.
Marco continues to collaborate with cultural institutions, brands, and creative innovators worldwide, shaping new forms of experiential culture and pushing the possibilities of how art can be lived — not just seen.
